All American Kids Club receives recognition and grant
The club was created to instill and nurture a sense of pride and patriotism in elementary-aged students through monthly correspondences with veterans and active duty military personnel. The All American Kids Club meets twice per month after school.
On Oct. 15, the Wisconsin Retired Educators' Association (WREA) Foundation honored Eagle River Elementary School in recognition of its All American Kids Project. In addition to the award, the All American Kids Club received a $2,000 grant from the WREA to help fund activities and expenses.
Clara Welch, WREA Foundation Liaison stated "My colleagues from WREA are honored to recognize you for your good work. We congratulate you on this award. All American Kids is making a difference in many lives, and you inspire us. You are an outstanding role model for the educational profession. Through the efforts of the entire school district and community, your project will have a lifelong impact on many individuals."
