Nicolet College held its commencement ceremonies over the weekend, recognizing nearly 600 students. Of those, 470 are receiving an associate degree, diploma or certificate in one of the college's programs. Another 125 students earned their GED or HSED through Nicolet's Academic Success program. It was a similar class size to recent years. Nicolet College President Elizabeth Burmaster, taking part in her third commencement ceremony, noted that the college's enrollment is beginning to level off after seeing a 17 percent increase over the course of the last seven years. That enrollment spike was at its highest in 2009-10, Burmaster's first year at the college. "Because we have students of all ages, and coming back for all sorts of opportunities, I think it's an exceptionally exciting ceremony," Burmaster said. "It doesn't matter how old you are, or what you do currently. You can come find something to enhance your life."
