Welk hits half-court jackpot
Welk swished the 47-foot shot during halftime of the RHS boys' basketball game vs. Antigo on Dec. 22, winning the jackpot of $328. It is the second time Welk has won the half-court shot contest. He took home a $450 jackpot during the 2006-07 season.
The boys' jackpot will be at $94 plus one half of the money collected from half-court shot entries Tuesday as the Hodags face Wisconsin Rapids. The girls' jackpot started at $150 Friday when the Lady Hodags hosted Ashland at the Jim Miazga Community Gym.
