From the heart
Central Intermediate School principal Tim Howell presents a check to Tammy Modic, executive director of the Frederick Place homeless shelter, Thursday morning as students look on. Students and Central staff were able to make the donation with money raised through the recent sale of candy grams. For 50 cents apiece, members of the Central School community could send a candy gram to someone else in the school for Valentine's Day. The result was a $249 donation.
