Lloyd H. Kincaid, age 82, of Crandon, died peacefully at home, on Nov. 1, 2007. Lloyd was born on May 8, 1925 in the Town of Fern, Mich., the son of the late Jesse and Nettie (Roach) Kincaid.
He served in the United States Army during World War II from 1943-1945.
On Oct. 4, 1952 in Iron Mountain, Mich., he married Kathleen Collier. Lloyd was a meat cutter by trade, but also worked as a cabinet maker at the Connor Mill in Laona. Lloyd served in the state assembly and state senate from 1973-1990.
He was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Crandon Lions Club, the American Legion, and the DAV. He also served on the city council, county board, and the Nicolet College board. Lloyd enjoyed woodworking, loved “politicking,” watching golf, the Packers, and the Badgers. He was a very family-oriented man and it showed by the love he had for his children and grandchildren. Lloyd will be missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Kathleen “Trink” Kincaid of Crandon; sons, Dave Kincaid of Crandon, Jim “Himey” (Chris) Kincaid of Tomahawk, and John Kincaid of Bettendorf, Iowa; daughter, Sandy; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sisters, Jackie (Jack) Johnson of Crandon and Crystal (Henry) Ritchie of Schofield; brothers, Curt (Dee) Kincaid of Crandon, Ken (Kathy) Kincaid of Deerbrook, Clifford “Tip” Kincaid of Crandon. Pallbearers are Dave, Jim, John, Jacob, Nick, and Ross Kincaid.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Joyce and Bonnie; twin brother, Lester; two infant daughters; three grandchildren, Angela, Brent, and Wendy; and his first wife, Shirley.
Visitation will be on Sunday, Nov. 4, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Weber-Hill Funeral Home and again on Monday, Nov. 5 from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Eric Vertein officiating. Interment will be in the Crandon Lakeside Cemetery.
