Laura Castellanos and Jesus Rodriguez welcomed Brandon Uriel Rodriguez at 1:28 a.m. Dec. 25. He was born at Ministry Saint Mary's Hospital in Rhinelander.
"It was something pretty (amazing) to me, it was like a Christmas present," Castellanos said of her son's birth. "I just want to thank God for making my son healthy as he was born and for having him be born on such a special date: Christmas."
Brandon weighed 7 pounds 13 ounces and was 18.5 inches long.
He was due in January so his Christmas arrival was a complete surprise, according to Castellanos.
Siblings Helen Caballero, 12, and Kilber Caballero, 9, are excited about the new addition.
Brandon arrived two days after his family moved to Rhinelander so his father could take a job.
"I just want to say that I am very happy because God gave us another baby and I'm very happy about it," Rodriguez said.
Castellanos is originally from Honduras and Rodriguez is originally from Mexico.
