Mary "Jane" Jones
Jane was born and raised in the Tomahawk / Willow Flowage area and graduated from Tomahawk High School in 1949. She married her husband, Kenneth Jones, and together they raised their family of three sons. Following retirement, Jane and Ken moved to their beloved cabin at the Willow Flowage and later relocated to Rhinelander.
Jane was a longtime member of the Methodist Church. She enjoyed volunteering, cooking, baking, and especially loved time spent with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Jane also enjoyed visiting with friends and acquaintances and will be fondly remembered for her gift of easy conversation and infectious smile.
Jane is survived by two sons, Brian Jones and Mark (Eily) Jones; six grandchildren, Sara, Megan, Zachary, Kerry, Ryan, and Janess; six great-grandchildren, Kaden, Colton, Jocelyn, Levi, Cameron, and Charlotte; sister-in-law, Barbara Michie; two brothers, William "Bill" Ouimette and Victor Ouimette; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth in 2012; and her son, Donald Jones in 1982.
The funeral service for Jane will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church in Rhinelander with Rev. Keith Wolf officiating.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the church. Interment will be in the Union Grove Cemetery in Harshaw.
