Bud K. Charbarneau Jr. of Rhinelander passed away Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017, while working in Presque Isle, at the age of 62. Bud was born Jan. 25, 1955, in Rhinelander, to Bud K. and Colleen G. (Esboudt) Charbarneau Sr. Bud was a 1974 graduate of Rhinelander High School. He then was employed by his father in the family business, Oneida General Contractors. In 1985 Bud attended Nicolet College and later transferred to UW- Stevens Point where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1991 in Political Science and Economics. He then returned to the family business where he and his brother, Richard became co-owners of Oneida General Contractors in 2001. Bud was united in marriage to Leah White at First Congregational Church on March 10, 2001. Bud was one of the first members of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at Nicolet College. He was a past member of the Municipal Basketball League and was a former president and a current member of the Wisconsin Building Movers Association. Bud loved his Golden Retriever and will be remembered for his passion for sports cars. But most of all he will be remembered for the love he had for his family, being friendly with anyone whom he met and giving hugs. If there is one word to describe Bud it would be "genuine". He is survived by the love of his Leah, his best friend and son Ian Charbarneau of Rhinelander, one sister Gloria Berg and special friend Don Bildings of Greenleaf, Wis. and one brother; Richard (Lisa) Charbarneau of Rhinelander. Also surviving are nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Judith Harper and by a brother-in-law, Dave Berg. In accordance with Bud's wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Private family inurnment will take place at Forest Home Cemetery. Hildebrand Funeral Home & Cremation Specialists, 24 E.
