George Stanley
George was born June 20, 1943, in Summerville, N.J., to Gilbert and Susan Stanley. He graduated high school in the year 1963. George owned and operated an adult family home with his wife for 25 years.
Half of his life was spent with his loving wife of 38 years Elois Stanley. Together they adopted two boys, Devon and Damien Stanley, six years ago.
He loved riding his side-by-side 4 wheeler, working on projects around the house, fishing, hunting, going out on the pontoon boat, playing cards, watching football with his sons, and spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Gilbert and Susan Stanley; four brothers - Gilbert Stanley Jr., James Stanley, Bill Stanley, and David Stanley; two sisters - Susan Stanley, Melissa Stanley, and one granddaughter, Kayla Grissom.
He is survived by his wife Elois Stanley of Rhinelander; children - George Stanley Jr. and his wife Odilia Stanley of Tajikistan; Paula (Trent) Rose of Paris, Texas; Leaha Stanley of Midland, Texas; Chris Grissom and his wife Kimberly Grissom of Rhinelander; James Grissom and Mary Levario of Odessa, Texas; Deborah Smith of Rothschild, Devon Stanley of Rhinelander, and Dameon Stanley of Rhinelander; one brother, Albert Stanley of New Jersey, Kelly Birkshire of the family home, 15 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He will be greatly missed by countless co-workers, clients and friends he met throughout his journey of life.
