Nancy was born and raised in Milwaukee, attended the University of Wisconsin - Madison, and moved to Rhinelander upon her marriage, where she raised her family. She taught kindergarten for 24 years, and was the editor of the Rhinelander School District Newsletter for 15. She loved to travel, especially enjoying her two trips to Kenya and her sailing adventures in Lake Superior and the Aegean Sea. Nancy was an avid bridge player and was passionate about her painting. She treasured the years spent at their Soo Lake property, surrounded by forest, deer and chickadees. But she once described her happiest moment as the Christmas when she received a football signed by her beloved Packers of the 1960s - Vince Lombardi, Bart Starr, and the rest. She remained a devoted fan until her death. Memorials preferred to the MS Society.
