Store damaged in crash
At approximately 8 a.m. Wednesday, a car struck the front of Diane's Frame Shoppe, 6 North Brown Street, Rhinelander. According to the Rhinelander Police Department, the driver was backing out of a parking space in front of the store when she struck another vehicle. The startled driver panicked and hit the accelerator instead of the brake and the vehicle struck the building, the authorities said. While the building suffered minor damage, the car had to be towed. No one was injured and there is no word on whether a citation was issued to the driver.
