Fire destroys Riverwood Spa and Retreat Center UPDATED
Numerous fire departments responded to a structure fire Thursday morning at the Riverwood Spa and Retreat Center at 3033 Woodwind Way in the town of Crescent. The call came in shortly before 8 a.m. The structure was empty and no one was injured, according to firefighters on the scene.

Information as to the cause of the fire was not immediately released. Preliminary indications were that the structure is a total loss. See the Saturday print edition of the River News for more on the fire.
