Just after 3 p.m. Friday, the Oneida County sheriff's department received a report of a one-vehicle rollover accident on Lakewood Road just north of County Highway K. According to a deputy on the scene, the teenage driver of a Toyota Matrix was driving too fast when she encountered the gravel shoulder of the road and lost control, crossing the road. The vehicle ended up on its side on the opposite shoulder. It narrowly avoided sliding into the the Bearskin Creek by just a couple of feet. The girl sustained minor injuries but did not require transport to the hospital and was not cited. In addition to the sheriff's department and the Cassian Fire Department, an Oneida County ambulance responded to the scene.
