James "Jim" Raymond Olson
Jim moved to Rhinelander after graduating and took a job with Twist Drill. When Twist Drill went out of business he started working in sales and later as a tech associate in California.
Jim was loved by his friends and most of all his family. He had a big heart and was always trying to help others. His favorite Bible passage was Psalm 23 "Surely goodness and loving kindness will follow me all the days of my life." Jim enjoyed watching sports, playing golf, fishing and hunting.
James is survived by his daughter Ashley (Cody) Lien, grandson Lincoln, sisters Shiela (Cal) Olson-Lanser of Rhinelander, Brenda (Gary) Goerke of Elcho, Karla (David) Stinson of Granite Bay, Calif., and Karen (Steven) Deijk of Greenville; brother, Robert Obrion of Baraboo; nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and nephew Gregory Goerke.
A graveside service for Jim will be held on Monday, Aug. 14, 2017 at Forest Home Cemetery at 11 a.m. You may leave your private condolences for the Olson family at www.carlsonfh.com. The Carlson Funeral Home 715-369-1414 is handling the arrangements for the Olson family.
