Squash Lake, Dan Butkus has undertaken a pollinator project of his own. He said he has noticed a difference since the Dyreby farm changed over to organic gardening. Not only are the pesticide smells gone but he has seen an increase in pollinators in the area as well.
His three-year shoreline restoration project was the first in the state to be completed through the Healthy Lakes program.
